Calling all braid pros! 😂

I’m officially over fighting the kids’ wild summer hair every morning and have decided it’s time I finally learn how to French braid.

So… does anyone want to trade?

I’ll trade you a 30-minute photo session in exchange for a French braid lesson (and maybe a Dutch braid too if you’re feeling ambitious 😂).

Some people leave a mark on your heart.

This grad is one of them. She’s kind, intelligent, hardworking, and the sweetest soul. It was such an honour to capture this season for her.

She brought me to this beautiful little hollow tucked away in the valley, and it felt like pure magic. The kind of place that quietly pours a little life and creativity back into you.

I couldn’t resist sharing a few from Shae’s moody grad session. The gloomy skies at the Chalet were a gothic vision, and I absolutely loved that she brought her favourite book series. Sessions that feel this true to someone’s personality will always be my favourite

Burnout taught me something this year.

That I don’t have to be constantly creating, posting, and showing up online to be successful.

I’ve been quieter on social media because I’ve been busy doing the work I love with people who trust me to capture their stories. My calendar has filled organically with sessions that inspire me, challenge me creatively, and remind me why I started this business in the first place.

But I’ve also been protecting space for myself and my family.

I’m learning that my best work happens when my cup isn’t empty. When I allow myself rest. When I spend slow evenings with my kids. When I choose presence over pressure.

To everyone who has booked, referred me, shared my name, or supported my little business in any way, thank you. You’ve helped build a business that allows me to create meaningful work while still being present for the life I’m living behind the camera.

And that is something I’ll never stop being grateful for. 🤍

I’ve been having a great off season with my family 🤍 and doing hardly any social media!

But things are starting to ramp up!

Grad sessions are almost completely booked up in my schedule, I have room for one more Moosomin grad and one more Wawota grad!

I’m also planning my Pay what you can Mother’s Day Minis in Wapella! Would Saturday April 25 or Sunday April 26 work better for most people?
