Underneath the Stony Trail expressway in Calgary as it crosses the Bow River and Baker/Bowness Parks. I liked the contrasts and shadows of this best in Black & White.

I shot almost into direct sunlight for this but it turned out fairly interesting. I love the heart shaped water and the fence leading into it!

I went for a long walk with a friend on the trails from Silver Springs down into Bowmont Park and on to Baker and Bowness Parks(in Calgary). The views and fall colours were lovely!
This image is looking west from a highpoint and shows some of the many bridges over the Bow River on the west end of Calgary. There are road, rail, and pedestrian bridges in this scene. If you look closely you can also see the mountains on the horizon to the center-right of the image.

I saw this pond filled with reeds on a walk the other day and thought it would look good in black & white. This is not the look I really wanted but after going back and forth on contrast, highlights, shadows, and so forth - this is what I have. I sorta like it, but it's not really what my "vision" was. 😊

It's Throwback Thursday!
This image is from a Prairie Mountain Hike in 2021 - I did that hike 50 times that year(or was that in 2020...lol?).
Anyway, what I like are the amazing lenticular clouds above the mountains! 😊

This was my view overlooking Calgary this morning. Low fog in the river valley and widespread frost across all the rooftops in the foreground. It's a bit sad to see summer waning but the fog, frost, and yellow leaves are sure beautiful! I'm pretty sure this is our first frost of the season...
