Adding rear speaker and backup camera wires to the van. Camperizing this van has been one of the most satisfying projects I've taken on in a long while. Especially when I get out exploring new places with it!

Had a great little dirtbike ride recently with Greg .driven . We rode up to the top of Flatty, a nice little technical ride near Victoria. As is obvious by our faces, we had a great time.

Vancouver feels. A damp rain in November day evokes the true Vancouver feeling. Makes you appreciate all the cozy eateries this city has to offer.

I made these 3 versions of Swedish Torches. So satisfying! I think they'd be great for camping comfort or a cool touch for my next garden party. I put together a full YouTube video on how to make them. Link in bio.

Tried something I suck at! My buddy Pat in Nelson suggested I join him for a day of sledding in the Selkirks. Of course I said "yes!"
Nobody else out there. The views were amazing and the riding was so much fun. That's the Valhalla range off in the distance.
I was pretty sore from being beat up by the terrain all day, but there may yet be a used sled in my future...
What have you tried lately that you suck at? Let me know below! How was it?

Shannon Falls plummets through the rain forest near Squamish. At every turn, the short walk to this lookout presents you with another level of awe.
Both humbling and invigorating.

Remnants of an old town appear on Burton Flats when the lake is low in the spring.
The construction of the Keenleyside Dam on the Arrow Lakes flooded the Burton Flats and the town that existed there. However, in the spring when they draw down the lake level in preparation for the spring floods, you can drive out on to the flats and see the concrete foundations, old pipes, and glass shards from the windows of the buildings that were once there.

The Pavillion Road high above the Fraser Canyon north of Lillooet is one of the most spectacular roads I've driven. This narrow gravel route snakes its way through switchbacks and narrow ledges at a dizzying height above the river. A must-do drive for anyone in the area!

This ancient cedar with a burnt out base still stands tall in LIghthouse Park in West Vancouver. The park is a gem of old-growth forest, ferns and mosses surrounded by the city. I decided to go on a whim as I was driving by and was glad I did. The views to Vancouver, Stanley Park and UBC are outstanding.
What's a surprising hidden gem that you know about? Would love to hear in the comments.

"LuluLemon Corner" can be seen from an unmarked lookout point just west of Lillooet. If you've never been to this part of the world, you owe yourself the experience. Crazy roads hugging cliffsides over dizzying canyons. Dry sagebrush desert juxtaposed with coastal rainforest and alpine glaciers. And a rich indigenous heritage.
Where is your next destination? Let me know in the comments and lets see how many different and intersting choices you all have.
