I’m out of the office for the next few days for my yearly camping trip, but this sweet moment from Sue and Kimberly’s recent intimate wedding just needs to be shared. More from this lovely rainy morning to come!

If you’re planning an intimate wedding or a full day celebration and want authentic story telling, timeless editing and a photographer who balances calm and humour… I’d love to talk! You can find me via the link in my bio. ✨

If you’re looking for a photographer who’s equal parts calm, hype woman, and unapologetic nerd… hi. 👋 I’ve found that when I’m comfortable enough to be myself, my couples feel comfortable enough to be themselves too. And that’s where the real moments happen.

Some weddings stay with you long after you’ve packed up your cameras.

Last weekend I had the joy of photographing Katarina and Jonny’s incredible celebration at Poet’s Cove on Pender Island. From the quiet moments to the biggest laughs, the entire day was filled with so much warmth, joy and genuine emotion. I’ll never forget sneaking away with them at the end of the night and truly going off roading to get the shots. These two were up for anything and couldn’t stop smiling at the adventure of it all!

Pender Island has a special place in my heart too. My husband’s family has a property on island and it’s been a fixture in our relationship for many years. Getting to explore the island with another couple and create new memories from familiar backdrops was extra special.

Here’s a little preview of a beautiful weekend I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. ❤️

Natasha and Morgin chose to celebrate in places that already held so much meaning. We wandered through the North Vancouver forest for portraits (a fitting backdrop for an arborist whose heart belongs among the trees) before heading to Natasha’s grandparents’ backyard (a place woven into her childhood and filled with years of memories).

Surrounded by the people who know them best, they promised forever in a space that already felt like home.

There’s something incredibly special about weddings like this. They remind me that it’s never about how big the celebration is. It’s about the people, the places and the stories that make it uniquely yours. 🤍 🌲

Every couple has places that feel like them.

For Marie and Connor, that meant spending the evening wandering through the colourful streets of Mount Pleasant before making our way to Olympic Village. With the city buzzing from FIFA and a shared love of soccer, it was the perfect way to end their engagement session. ⚽❤️

I love when couples choose locations that mean something to them. It always makes the photos feel a little more personal and a little more like home.

I can’t wait to photograph these two on their wedding day!

Somewhere between “this feels awkward” and “OMG that’s us??” is where I come in. My job is everything in between. ✨

Who says your engagement session needs to be before the wedding? Elizabeth and Patrick were apart right up until their wedding (Patrick lives in Austria) which meant we had no time to get out together. The good news is couples photos are just as special no matter when you take them. We spent an evening exploring before Patrick got back on a plane.

It’s been so hard to predict Vancouver’s weather lately! The evening of David and Vivian’s engagement session featured a surprise cloud burst and wind that proved to be the mvp for the drama it brought. Despite the little bit of uncertainty we had a lot of fun exploring Jericho, talking about dumplings and hoping to spot the elusive grey whale visiting our harbor. Spoiler alert: we only saw a beaver and a seal. 😅

Can’t wait to get together again for their wedding in August! If you’re looking for a creative, emotion lead photographer in Vancouver get in touch. I’d love to meet you!

Elizabeth and Patrick’s story online, playing video games with a group of friends that somehow became family.

That same group showed up for them here, just like they did in Austria last fall when they celebrated the first part of their wedding. Two celebrations, one story and a whole lot of connection woven through both. I especially loved the personal touches like video game instrumentals playing throughout cocktail hour.

I met Elizabeth through her maid of honour Joanna’s wedding a couple years ago, so getting to come back and document this next chapter felt really special.

Riverway Clubhouse gave us the perfect backdrop for a day that felt easy, joyful and full of people who truly know them.

More to come from this one, but here’s a little glimpse to start.
