Expectation: It’s serious. It’s intimidating. Everyone knows exactly what they’re doing.

Reality: 😂

We’re laughing because someone almost fell off the posing stool.

We’re celebrating every little “OMG WAIT... I LOVE THAT!” moment.

We’re fixing hair, making terrible jokes, playing your favourite music, and high-fiving after every pose.

The photos might look glamorous...

But the experience feels like hanging out with your biggest hype woman.

I think that’s way more fun!!

Let me get on my soapbox 📣

Every single week, I meet women who apologize to me before we’ve even started.

“I’m sorry about my stomach.”
“I’m sorry I’m awkward.”
“I’m sorry about my stretch marks.”
“I’m sorry I’m so nervous.”

And every single time, I wonder...
Who taught us that we had to apologize for simply existing in our bodies?

None of us were born believing we weren’t enough.
That story was handed to us.

By magazines.
By advertising.
By impossible beauty standards.
By comments made in passing.
By years of being told our worth was somehow tied to how we looked.

I’ve built my career watching women slowly let go of those stories.

That’s the most meaningful part of what I do.

Maybe it’s time we stopped fixing ourselves...
and started questioning who convinced us we needed fixing in the first place.

This is probably the most accurate description of me. 😂

I spend my days:
✨ hyping women up
✨ steaming lingerie
✨ editing out lingerie tags
✨ getting irrationally excited about vintage furniture
✨ saying “YESSSS THAT’S THE PHOTO” every 30 seconds

Somewhere along the way, this became a career and I still think that’s pretty wild.

If you’re looking for a super serious, intimidating photographer...

Around here, there’s no dress code for celebrating yourself. Whether you show up with a suitcase full of outfits or one favourite piece, your body is welcome in anyway you feel the most comfortable!

One thing about me?
I LOVE a woman who’s feeling herself. 😂

Women are told from approximately age 11 that we should be just confident enough to function, but not confident enough to actually like ourselves.

That’s weird.

So if you think you’re hot?
Good.

If you take up space?
Excellent.

If you’re finally learning to be a little kinder to yourself?
Even better!!

As a grand finale to our Pride Month celebrations, I wanted to share Julie’s story. 🏳️‍🌈🤍

When Julie booked her session, she was only a few months away from gender-affirming surgery.

For Julie, this moment was about celebration.

She wanted to document her body exactly as it was in that moment. Not because she wasn’t excited for what came next, but because she recognized that every version of herself had played a role in getting her here.

One of the things she told me after seeing her photos was:

“I’ve had people compliment my looks before, but like many trans folks, I’d always have a bit of trouble believing it for myself. Seeing myself through Delilah’s photography really helped change that.”

As a photographer, being trusted with stories like this is something I never take lightly. Bo***ir has always been about more than photos to me.

It’s about documenting who you are right now.
The chapters you’re living through.
The moments you never get back.
