I'm Lorissa, a lifestyle photographer based in Medicine Hat, Alberta with a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Visual Communications. Working with people just like you to capture life's precious moments is my passion. Every photograph tells a story, and like each photo, every person's story is unique. I'm not just taking your pictures, I am capturing one small but oh-so-special part of your life's

story and preserving it as a memory that will never fade. To me that is such an amazing thing, and I am always so honoured when someone gives me the opportunity to tell their story. Life is filled with so many amazing moments that are too soon forgotten. That's why I say it's always a good time to have your photos taken. Special occasions not required! As I spend today in a room full of inspiring female entrepreneurs at the I’m reminded of all the amazing women who have asked me to capture photos for their brands. Having their support for my small business while I create something that will be used to support theirs is such a rewarding feeling.

is just one of those brands who I’ve been so lucky to capture, and I can safely say we had way too much fun with these. It’s so hard to choose only a few to share! She has the most kind heart and is extremely talented. Along with her model showing off a bridal beauty look and making my job too easy. Thank you ladies for this amazing day ♥️ Let’s do it again sometime!

My recipe for an unforgettable wedding day:

1. Start with a heaping scoop of the sweetest couple ever

2. Mix in a beautiful venue

3. Add your closest family and friends (especially ones that love to dance)

4. Sprinkle in your favourite vendors to make your day stress-free

5. Choreograph an amazing first dance for added sweetness

6. A scoop of your favourite cultural tradition (I always love seeing the money dance - they get so creative!)

7. Most importantly be present in the moments and don’t be afraid to dance the night away

8. A dash of some really cute ducks never hurts!
