Had an incredible day yesterday at the

I strained a hamstring in January then broke my toe in February so had really lowered my expectations for this marathon. The plan was to have a good time & make it to the finish!

Started out with a fun group targeting 3 hours 20 minutes. As usual, the pacers at Runvan events are amazing. The crowds along the route are so loud, positive and supportive. I can't count the number of high fives and power up signs tapped.
Was able to pull off a 3:18:11
Pretty happy with that result & looking forward to the next race

Barcelona was never very high on places that I want to visit but we really enjoyed our days here. Despite the pressures from so much tourism, the people were here were super friendly and helpful.

Yey Aek

When we were in Cambodia in 2019, I was lucky to be able to spend 2-days with of . I thought that I knew photography, but came away from those 2-days with a whole new view of slowing down, focusing on the people and the story. I might have just walked past Yey Aek as I searched for another temple. Instead, Regis stopped to chat with her. Her face lit up and her kind personality came shining through. I ended up going back to the same temple with Ai and my sons a few days later so that they could spend time with Yey Aek.

Took a walk along the Saskatchewan River near Abraham Lake. The rich blue color of the water and ice was amazing. Laying down on the ice to get a close up of this crack made me nervous as I really wasn't in the mood for a swim!

Typically when we travel I like to get up before sunrise and take a walk with my camera. I usually have a destination and shot in mind but I'm always looking out for other shots while on the way. One of the mornings that we stayed in London I had planned to walk from our hotel near London bridge to a little spot near St Pauls. As I was walking, the sunrise started to light up the sky behind the Tower Bridge. I know that this is such a touristy shot but I couldn't resist that sunrise. I took some shots with the HMS Belfast to the side of the frame and some with the ship in the middle. I prefer the shot with the ship in the middle of the frame.
