A comment I always receive is “wow you’re so talented” or “I wish I had an eye for photography like you”. The truth is — I was a horrible photographer. I use to look at others and wonder why their pictures were alway better than mine. I always thought it was a skill that they are born with and no matter what I did, I would never be good enough. Since I didn’t have a natural talent for photography, I strived to be better — I made it my goal to always make my next picture my best picture. Even then, I would never be satisfied with my work no matter what anyone else said. I believed that if my pictures weren’t as good as the ones that drew me to photography, then it wasn’t worth the praise. Only when I looked back at my first photoshoot and compared them to the photos I create now did I realize how much I’ve improved. Only now have I come to understand that the more I improve as a photographer, the further my goal becomes and even though I set myself up to never truly reach my goal, I have enjoyed every second of the journey.
I want to say thank you to the amazing team. You guys told me I have full creative freedom and I hope that I didn’t disappoint.
