I stopped chasing perfection in wedding photos.
When I first started photography, I was learning by doing. Shooting film, waiting to see what developed. Then came the portraits and headshots, lit up, technically perfect, and crisp. But I found myself nodding off while taking those shots.
That’s when I realized photography isn’t about perfection. It’s about purpose.
Yes, don’t get me wrong. I cover my tracks to get the safe shots. Those classic, clean images that every couple expects and deserves. But I also push myself to experiment. I embrace low light, shoot wide open, and crank up the ISO to let in that gorgeous grain. Because some moments aren’t meant to be sharp, they’re meant to be felt.
This is , a series where I showcase raw, real emotion through a sequence of images. Which frame speaks to you the most?
