By the grace of Allah Almighty, SeekersHub had it's grand opening of its 3rd location April 2nd, 2016. Honorable guests for the night were Shaykh Faid Said, the Al-Nass brothers from Chicago, among others. The new location is more spacious, offering classrooms and offices; Alhamdulillah it was packed on the day of the opening, may Allah place barakah in the space, the people who frequent and visit the space, and may He bless the volunteers who keep the place running, the donors who support it, and make it a means of many openings.

I was invited yesterday to partake in the 1000 Roses event which took place at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto, Ontario. Thank you to all who have invited me to take part in this beautiful initiative of spreading love and light in our city. I pray everyone who has been touched by this gesture will pay it forward to others. To help combat the fear and hate which has slowly been plaguing our communities, please be kind to one another, and spread love and light in whichever way is possible to you, even a smile is charity.
Thank you to Dr. Yusra Ahmed for spearheading this initiative and Nada Ashkar for inviting me to be a part of it.

Friday Reflection:
We get so caught up with all the technical aspects of every day life - everything has to go perfectly as planned. But sometimes all we have to do is leave all our gear at home, travel light, relax and enjoy our surroundings - we might just end up with a new perspective and a better way to deal with our problems, a deeper understanding of self, and a clearer internalizing of the concept of tawwakul. When we open ourselves up to experiences we would often brush off, Beauty unveils itself to our hearts, and beautiful things happen. :)

Jumuah Mubaraka - do not forget to send salwat on the Prophet (sallaLlahu 3alayhi wassalam) on this blessed day. Allahuma salli wa sallim 3alyhi wa 3ala aalih.

This photo was taken during random reflective stroll, all I had on me was my journal, a pen, and my iPhone. Absolutely no intention to photograph anything. And then I passed by this view. After days just staring at Sultan Ahmet from all different angles, I definitely wasn't aware of this specific angle, literally covered by trees. As it turns out, this is probably my favourite capture of this beautiful mosque from the outside and from a distance.

Konya is a very special city, could be because of all the Saints who are resting there. Could be because of the kindness and beautiful hospitality of its people. This album will contain some photos from its main attraction - The Museum/Mausoleum of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Also a lot of sunsets and sunrises because they were all breathtaking
