Briefly ended up in Hamilton today, haven't been to that city in a minute.

I'm thinking that I need to go back there soon and shoot some of the streetscapes, vintage signs, and architecture. Some people probably find old boarded up buildings and old signs dull and boring, however, I'm not one of those people, and so Hamilton has a lot to offer.

Fun fact: I lived on York Blvd by Dundurn Castle for 3 years. Long story. It was before I got into photography, so I never explored it as "Nick, the photographer", but I saw a lot of stuff today I'd love to go back to shoot. I've added it to my list of things to do.

I know winter is coming when I start to see my The Miller Group plow photos popping up my feed as they look to recruit some drivers for the upcoming season.

I really love photographing their road crews in the winter, not only because it looks really cool, and it's often during some nasty weather (which we know I love to photograph), but it's the reaction and feedback I hear from those crews about how much they love the photos, and I love that.

Here's to another winter just around the bend, and a lot more cool photos. Literally. πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Œ

Like every year, I've taken a lot of photos at TIFF, but none of them are as important as the ones of our incredible team of volunteers, because without them this whole festival would grind to a halt.

It's always nice to see some of my photos of the volunteers alongside those of my peers.πŸ™‚πŸ™

When I started my photography journey 18 years ago, I never thought I'd end up where I am today, and while I've been shooting the Toronto International Film Festival for my 8th year now in an official capacity, if you told me I'd be out there on that 8th year capturing all the partnership content on the red carpet for TIFF's partnership with Google Canada for their Pixel 11 Pro... I wouldn't have believed you. But... Here we are!

It's been a wild first 4 days of TIFF, so much fun, so many photos, and I'm really proud of what I've captured as a part of my assignment this year.

I'm super thankful for the opportunity I've been entrusted with this year. 🫢☺️

My shot of the farewell CN Tower pass from the Snowbirds over the weekend after 55 years of amazing crowds with their skills. πŸ«‘πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

On Friday, during their practice run I saw they had a tower pass with the whole formation, so on Saturday I made my way to the parking garage in Kensington Market, posted up with my 180-600mm lens, and waited for 3 hours in the sun for this shot from 1.7km away. Worth it!πŸ‘Œ

This is it, the finale of The Snowbirds this weekend.😞

Caught this shot yesterday while having a coffee in Kensington market with my friend during our 8 hour long 12km photo walk through the city.

I've got my gear packed up, at least the 70-200mm and the 160-600mm lenses, not sure if I want to bring the 24-70 or the 14-24 (probably the 24-70).

Anybody else going to check out the air show today? I'm going to shoot it from the city today, and tomorrow I'll be down at the Lakeshore. πŸ‘Œ

That was an absolutely insane storm that tore through Toronto yesterday, and today, the Humber River is still angry.

Not sure I've ever seen the river raging this hard. Wow.

I'm not sure who this subway driver is this morning, but he definitely blessed our train with some smiles on a Monday. I missed the first bit of his Bathurst station announcement as I scrambled for my phone to record it.

What a great vibe to the start of the week, I miss back in the days when these kinds of diy announcements were more common.

Hope you all have a great start to your week, everybody! πŸ™‚

Edit: Found him! Well, he found me actually! Fellow TTC riders, let me introduce you to Uncle Crawfy! πŸ₯³
