This year changed how I measure the work.

Less emphasis on output.
More care for what photographs are meant to carry.

Thankful for the families who trusted me with their stories, and for a season that clarified the responsibility of preserving them.

A wedding day isn’t one moment.
It’s a series of small ones, unfolding loudly or quietly.

Hands adjusting fabric.
Perfume settling on skin.
A pause before stepping through the door.
Laughter breaking through the nerves.
Dinner stretched long into the night.
A dance floor that didn’t empty until it had to.

Nothing staged.
Nothing rushed.
Just people, showing up fully for one another.

This is how it felt.

This is the part of the night that can’t be staged.
When the timeline dissolves, the music takes over, and everyone you love is exactly where they’re meant to be — together, celebrating without holding back.

These are the moments I care about most.
Not the posed ones.
The lived-in, sweaty, euphoric, we’re never forgetting this kind of night.

You’re not just hiring an eye — you’re hiring a presence.
Choose someone whose calm grounds the room, not fills it with noise.

Engagement photos aren’t meant to be placeholders.
They’re not a box to check before the wedding.
They’re not just “content.”

They are a record of who you were at the beginning of your marriage.

M&J chose to return to the place of their first date — not to recreate it perfectly, but to honour it. The ordinary, meaningful moments that quietly shaped everything that followed.

When your engagement session is rooted in your story, the images carry weight.
They don’t age with trends.
They age with meaning.

Years from now, these photographs won’t just remind you what you looked like —
they’ll remind you why this mattered.

Choose photos that say something about you.
Not just something that looks good.

15 moments the photographer didn’t pose.

Because the best parts of a wedding day can’t be staged — they happen when no one’s performing.

Here are 15 frames from Eleanor & Isaac’s day. Full of love, laughter, the kind of energy only your people can bring, and feelings of home.

1. The day closing in a field of tall grass, Isaac carrying Eleanor barefoot towards the dance floor.
2. Her bridesmaids seeing her dress for the first time — the one her mom made by hand. (Shoutout to )
3. Their first prayer before the ceremony, in the same chapel where they once prayed as kids.
4. Eleanor’s mom and sisters reacting to Isaac as he teared up seeing her walk toward him.
5. The sweetest exhale after their send-off — a sea of joy outside the cathedral.
6. We handed Isaac the bouquet while Ellie needed her hands free for her solo portraits. He couldn't take his eyes off her.
7. (Still) couldn’t take his eyes off her.
8. Walking away from Maiden Lane as we wrapped up our photo session, just completely giddy.
9. Groomsmen mischief, documented.
10. The bridesmaids' battle against the elements and the veil.
11. The most hype entrance (not pictured: me slamming into a tent pole getting this photo)
12. A soft rain, kids running barefoot through the field, the evening humming with life.
13. The reception in the little moments.
14. The parent dances — quiet moments that said everything words couldn't.
15. Just two people in love, feeling loved, and living it fully.

“We just want pretty photos.”

It’s something I hear often, but here’s the truth:
Pretty is fleeting.
Presence is what gives your images longevity.

The most timeless photos aren’t the most perfect ones; they’re the ones filled with emotion, movement, and truth.

When you’re choosing your photographer, don’t just ask how their photos look.
Ask how they make people feel.

That’s what lasts.

Your photographer’s values shape your legacy.

Don’t just look for pretty photos.
Look for alignment — in how they see, feel, and tell stories.

Save this if you’re planning your wedding,
and share it with someone choosing their photographer. ✨

Is this what home feels like?

An evening with Alex and Warren that lingered — soft light, gentle water, and the quiet comfort of belonging.
