Going through my archives as been an interesting journey for me . It’s safe to say I have emotional attachments to some of my work .
I found these photos from 2020 that I think shall be cherished forever. Thanks to 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 . I wanted to experiment what I had learnt and she was happy to help me .
I decided to re edit them with subtle Colour changes just to see what difference that could make .

Lighting can completely transform a flat studio into a timeless, moody painting.
Running back one of my absolute favorite styled shoots from the Alpha Festival workshop with Sony in Abuja! Here is a breakdown of how we brought this rich, vintage moodboard to life:

The Vision: A textured, vintage atmosphere featuring a real married couple for genuine chemistry and intimacy. The Frame Within a Frame: Posing the bride intentionally inside the giant gold frame while keeping the groom seated just outside it to add physical depth. The Lighting Magic: Placed an AD200 fitted with an orange gel behind the bride, aimed upward to wash the backdrop in warm gradients. Balanced with a diffused AD600 fill light, and for the dramatic silhouette shot, stripped everything back to a single Godox ML60 from behind. WHY AND HOW I SHOT IT Ep 1

Ever wonder how an idea goes from the back of my mind to a full-on shoot?

For Day 1 of running back some of my favorite shoots, I’m taking you behind the scenes of Dorcas & Azibola’s pre-wedding session at Pickle Social House, Abuja.

Back in 2023, I started experimenting with Midjourney to build private moodboards and visualize lighting, styling, and composition before ever stepping on set. Here’s how the prompts came together, how we pivoted on the day (that overhead shot on the blanket was pure necessity!), and how the final shots turned out.

Soye and Leke were really easy to photograph.

Their wedding reminded me of a few things that make beautiful wedding portraits almost inevitable.

This was a day well spent in the company of people who love and care deeply for each other and their families. The peace and intimacy of their love was clear in real time, and I had such a good time documenting it.

They had really great support and energy around them, and that made everything else make sense.

My job was to document the couple for an hour before the ceremony, and in that little window, we created some of my favourite images.

What if I stayed? What other stories were being told?

Am I starting to fall in love with blues again?

Do you think my editing style is changing?

Ujo and Andy (2026, Abuja, Nigeria)

A union filled with so much love , family , glamour and fantastic energy .
My team say photographing them was easy as everything was already set in place and everyone was just happy to be there . I believe them , it shows in the photos .

I particularly love how much effort they put into styling themselves and curating the perfect memories for their big day. Absolutely amazing.
I played around with blue as a temperature for joy ( rare ) , it ended up looking for magical / Cinderella inspired .

I like these photos a lot .

A time for the books…
Absolutely had the best time at the reception after the premiere of Clarissa Clarissa .
Great film, great energy, amazing creators.

Ended my day at the premiere of Mo Abudu ‘s secret lives of baba segis wives . The story telling and cast were amazing .
