Some wedding days stay with you long after the last photo is delivered, and S&A’s was one of them.

Despite the chilly New Brunswick weather, these two embraced every moment of their day, and it resulted in so many beautiful memories. From an emotional ceremony filled with tears and heartfelt hugs to a reception overflowing with laughter, love, and meaningful speeches, every part of their wedding felt incredibly special.

One of my favourite things about wedding days is witnessing the love that surrounds a couple. Seeing family and friends laugh, cry, and celebrate alongside S&A was such a beautiful reminder of what weddings are truly about.

Hi, I’m Michaela — the girl behind the lens. 🤍

If you’re new here, I thought it was time to properly introduce myself. I recently married my best friend, C**t, after being together for nearly a decade. Last week, I officially became a wife, and it’s a title I’m incredibly proud to carry.

I’m a wedding and couples photographer based in the Maritimes, documenting love stories across Atlantic Canada. While I absolutely adore photographing local weddings and sessions, I’m also excited to continue growing my business across Canada and eventually into destination weddings.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, our cats and dogs, or dreaming up plans for our future home. C**t and I hope to build our dream home behind our current one, creating what we lovingly call “the family compound” — because family means everything to us, and having everyone close by is something we truly value.

Family, relationships, and being present are at the core of who I am. This year, I’ve made a promise to myself to protect the weekends I have free so I can spend quality time with the people I love most. Life moves quickly, and while I love my work, I never want to miss the moments that matter most.

C&M invited me into their home for a maternity session that felt slow, cozy, and completely true to them — the kind of moments that already feel nostalgic before baby even arrives. Some moments deserve to stay soft, slow, and sacred. 🤍

K planned the sweetest sunrise proposal for C on the quiet east side of PEI, tucked away from the busy summer crowds and filled with nothing but the sound of the ocean and the two of them soaking it all in.

There’s something so special about surprise proposals at sunrise — the island feels still, the beaches are empty, and you get to spend the entire rest of the day wrapped up in that “we’re engaged” feeling. No rushing, no distractions, just the beginning of a brand new chapter together.

K&C’s morning felt intimate in all the best ways, and honestly… these early coastal sessions will forever have my heart. ✨

C&J braved the chill, leaned into the wind, and turned a beach day into something they’ll never forget. no perfect weather, no waiting for the “right” moment, just the two of them laughing, holding on tighter, and making memories exactly as they are.
