This is spring in Eastern Newfoundland.
Here it doesn’t magically turn sunny, mild, and breezy when March arrives. It’s harsh in fact - with winds that cut your face, snow that seemingly begins out of nowhere, and damp air that seeps into your bones.
“We don’t live here for the weather”, you’ll often hear people say - but I wouldn’t wish it any other way. I hope that when people look at my photos and see my home they see it as I do - sometimes its beauty presents itself through harshness and resiliency.
This photo was taken at the most easterly point in North America at Cape Spear. When I stand here it’s the closet I get to my loved ones in Europe without jumping on a plane.
Happy Sunday and happy spring - wherever you are!
