Welcome to Panshard Photography's page. The word 'Panshard' is derived from Old English and refers to broken pieces (or shards) of pottery. In the colloquial parlance of Newfoundlanders Panshard also came to refer to the broken bits of smooth-edged sea glass that wash up on the rocky beaches of Newfoundland's rugged shores. In a way, my photographs are very much like small, smoothed piec

es of glass. They capture the light and colours of Newfoundland one piece at a time. They also reflect the rich culture and beauty that has made Newfoundland unique not only to visitors but to Newfoundlanders themselves. I invite you to purchase your own piece of this unique province. Photographs are reminders not only of where we are from, but also where reside the friends and family in the place we call home.
