there are several factors for growing your portfolio that many people may not know:
- it's not easy. getting a new name out into a field where there's people 2, 5, even 10 or more years ahead of you in the game; don't let it discourage you, it takes time.
- your portfolio may not be a consistent photo or editing style, and that's okay! your portfolio is what it is for a reason, to showcase your capabilities as a photographer.
-it's not just benefiting your clients, it's to benefit you as well. it's your first chance at getting out there, practicing, and experimenting.
be patient with the process as starting or expanding a portfolio can even take months! keep engaging with clients, reaching out, and getting your name out there 🩵
