I’ve been busy researching planning and preparing to make new work, which is a portrait series exploring the VBAC experience. I gave birth to Maya (pictured here) in November 2023, exactly 1 week before I turned 37, via vaginal birth after cesarean. I had incredible support from a midwife and doula team, which is part of what I want to explore in this project - I’ll be chatting and photographing birth care workers in/around Ottawa. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING. The project is funded by .council, so participation will be compensated!
I also have two residencies lined up: one In the fall, heading back to and in March 2027 we’ll be traveling to in Houston, Texas. This will be my first international residency and I’m thrilled. Thank you .
