The sea got a bit saltier yesterday. Atlantic herring was spotted spawning on 2024-05-20 in Gander Bay. I saw some whales on the way back from work and thought it was odd to see them in gander bay, sure enough this came about.

Wow! This iceberg was located perfectly in Spillers Cove, Twillingate. Such an easy walkable trails as well thanks to Rockcut Twillingate Trails. Can easily walk to these icebergs to view it via the trails that they maintain. Also check out the many other trails that they offer such as the natural arch which is a great one!

When the gang is all here☺️. So you’re either way wanting to come travel to Newfoundland or you already have your trip booked? Well you’re definitely going to want to see some puffins while you’re here in Newfoundland (which I strongly recommend!).

To see these gorgeous colonies of birds you’re going to have to travel by car to the Bonavista lighthouse. While there are also some in Elliston, I had the best luck at the lighthouse personally.
