And then there were two 🐣🐣

Have you heard of Frequency Illusion - a phenomenon that when a thing you experience, see, notice, hear starts popping up regularly.

That is twins for me this year.

My beautiful friends had twins a year ago and now twins are everywhere. Twin clients - babies and grownups. Twin stories.

These twins ⬆️ are new to me and I fell in love immediately. There was lots of back and forth about where, when, how - especially in covid season with a compromised immune system to manage. We settled on Hidden Valley in Huntsville ♥️

Bring me all the twins!!!

Side note, new twin skill: I can now pick up both of my friends' babies at the same and dance. They find me mildly amusing.

Ok, let me tell you about this happy looking munchin...

Baby C had never met me before however I photographed his parents' () wedding with/for at the amazing in Muskoka. Baby C was weary of me from the beginning. Despite my familiarity with his mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunt, and friend-aunt he wanted nothing to do with me. It didn't help that my focus was supposed to be on him. He didn't find me funny. He didn't want to share his snacks, not even for pretend, he definitely didn't want to get too close. He did however want to keep an eye on me 🤦

I must admit, this isn't usual. Kids love me. Or I thought they did.

When I finished editing this family's collection recently I was pleasantly surprised (should I admit that about my own photos???? Maybe not). Baby C looks pretty happy about his day!!! 🎉🤯🎉🤯

This will be one of the most memorable portrait moments of the year. At every shoot - wedding, family, bo***ir there is a single most important image to me. One that represents the day, the family, the feeling - there's always one.

But THIS image, actually this moment is the one that sticks out for me.

These are sisters. A middle and a third child. I photographed their big sister's birth years ago. This family was my first in-person session once photographers were able to work in June. Their mom is a salt of the earth kind of woman and watching her with three young daughters was enlightening.

Here, you can see that middle sister hasn't quite figured out the boundaries surrounding baby sister. Yet, there was no emergency, there was no I'll will, and all of the adults let her gently work through the moment with a bit of guidance.

If I ever become a mother to three young children (which I prob won't 'cause that ship has sailed) I'll be calling and her family for advice ❤️

These two got engaged at . SURPRISE!!! Check out the full set in my stories today. Alex and I had been planning for a few weeks along with the staff at the Northridge - who are incredible. I arrived that evening just after Alex and Hetal left for a walk. We set up their glamping tent with flowers and candles. Their neighbour-guests fake posed for me so that it looked like I was on location doing commercial work. They quickly disappeared once Alex and Hetal made their way down the beach. And voila! Proposed ❤️

I adore new born baby photography. It's always quiet and cozy. We never really how it's going to go, how baby will feel that day, how much feeding will happen, or sleeping, or crying. It's all a bit of a waiting game. Anyway, new born babies are devine and I'd happily spend day after day doing this.
