Even though I visit this location every year, it offers unique conditions and images every time.
This time, I was excited to make photos and video with my new OM-1!
My E-M1 II still made great images, but I wanted better video capabilities. And so, I put the OM-1’s specs to good use and made a new YouTube video. Check it out through the link in my bio!

It's been a while since the last one but...new video up!

I decided it was time to upgrade my Olympus E-M1 II. After a long, thoughtful process, I decided there was no reason for me to switch systems and/or go to full-frame.
In this video, I'm taking you along for my first photography (and now video! - a big reason I wanted to upgrade) outing with my new OM System OM-1.
My brother and I returned on our annual day trip to see the arrival of the snow geese. I mention in the video, and you will probably notice, that I fumbled around with the camera a bit, looking through the viewfinder to find a good shot but not being fully confident that I had the right setup. One of the adjustments I will have to make will be to learn to efficiently combine photography and video; and be able to quickly switch settings.

Nonetheless, I'm quite happy with the pictures I left with. I also really enjoyed using the OM-1! I definitely noticed a big difference in the shooting process, the quality and sharpness of the images and even the colours and editing process. All that to say, I'm happy with my purchase!

Forest fires and smog are a terrible thing, but they sure do create otherworldly sunsets.
