My picky schnauzer ate kibble for 2 weeks straight so it was time to give her something delicious 😋

This is the reality of fostering. Just because it hurts, we’re not going to hold back on the bonding experiences. These dogs have already been through a lot - be it neglect, separation or abuse. They deserve it.

Though Lilo might not remember this adventure specifically, she’ll remember how fun it is to jump in the water. How fun it is to swim into her owner’s arms. That it’s safe to be out and to watch others swim.

And that’s what I mean about bottling up the love. Giving love means giving confidence, experience and safety. That’s the stuff they’ll take with them to their next home ❤️
