REPENTANCE PRAYER

Dear Jesus Christ, I understand that it is very important that I declare my faith in you; I must believe that you died for my sins and resurrected to give me life. Therefore, I affirmatively declare that I believe you died and resurrected for my sins; I confess you as my personal Lord and Savior. From now on, I will serve you with a clean and clear mind, and I will also share your resurrection story with other people so that they can believe and be saved also. God does not want His children to walk in darkness as do the people of this world. We are children of light and God tells us to "walk as children of light." The Bible says,

"See then that you walk circumspectly [carefully, wisely], not as fools, but as wise." Ephesians 5:15

Christ on the Throne is for His Believers

The Man, Jesus Christ, is now on the throne of heaven, and He is for His believers here on earth. The Bible says that Christ has entered "into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us." (Hebrews 9:24)

We know that one day Christ will come and take us to be with Him forever, but do we realise how completely Christ is for us now? All that Christ did, He did on our behalf. He is our new Head—our Victorious Leader—and He loves us with the same wondrous love with which the Father loves Him. Jesus said,

"Just as the Father has loved me, I have also loved you; remain in my love." (John 15:9 NET Bible)

To Summarize:

* Jesus Christ has been rejected in this world but He has been exalted in the next world.

* He is now on the throne of God, and He is for His people.

Christ is everything.

We pray for power, or for purity, or for patience, but God doesn't send us little packages of these items. He has done far more. God has given us Christ, and everything we need is in Him. The Bible says, "For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; so you have everything when you have Christ…" (Colossians 2:9-10 The Living Bible) It is not what we are that counts, it is what He is! The Bible says, "It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." (1 Corinthians 1:30) He is all we need. When we need patience, He is our Patience. When we need purity, He is our Purity. And when we need power, He is our Power. He is to us whatever we need.

What in the world is wrong? Is there a solution?

We can build computers that can solve the most complicated problems in just seconds, but we can't solve the problems of sin and immorality and prejudice. We can build beautiful cathedrals but we cannot stop people from hating. We can put men on the moon, but we can't live with each other here.

Why can't we get along with the members of our own family?
What's wrong? Why can't we build a peaceful society? Why can't we get along with the members of our own family?

The social reformers have lots of theories about what's wrong with us and how to cure our problems. But their theories just don't work. You can't make people love each other, and you can't make people be kind and unselfish by just passing a law that they should.

Sin has always been man's problem
What is our problem? It's sin! That's always been man's problem. I know it sounds old-fashioned to talk about sin. We don't like to talk about it. We've about ruled the word out of our vocabulary—but we haven't ruled it out of our lives or out of our society.

Jesus Christ is God.

When Jesus took the name "I AM" for Himself, He was saying that He was God. Jesus was, and is, and always will be God. He said,

"I and My Father are one." John 10:30

"…He that has seen Me has seen the Father…." John 14:9

God meets all our needs by giving us Christ.

If I were asked to make a list of all that I need to live a life pleasing to God here on earth, my list might look something like this:

I need wisdom.

I need love.

I need peace.

I need joy.

I need strength.

I need patience.

I need satisfaction.

I need power.

Actually my list would contain many more things. I do not even know all that I might need, but God knows all my needs, even those I don't think of.

How does God meet all my needs? He meets all my needs by giving Christ to me, to live in me. We get everything from God in Christ. The Bible says,

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ." Ephesians 1:3
