15 years ago today, I lost my dad to cancer.

My dad was the kind of person who made people feel seen. He cared deeply for those who were hurting, struggling, or overlooked, and he believed compassion mattered more than judgment.

The Harley Project was created in his memory.

This portrait and storytelling series will highlight individuals who have faced immense hardship and the human connection that helped them survive it. It’s a project about resilience, perseverance, healing, and the people who choose to stay beside us in the dark.

Over the next year, I’ll be offering one complimentary session each month to someone selected for the project.

If you or someone you know has a story rooted in resilience and human connection, applications and nominations are now open.

Because sometimes compassion changes, and even saves, a life.
