Hear in the GTA, the weather has been quite different. This past week has not been its usual -5 or lower temptures. Instead its been warmer with beautiful sunsets to go along with it. I took advantage of this taking some photos and gave myself a challege. I took my 28-75mm/2.8 and only shot at 50mm trying to train myself to slow down and only step forward, backward to effect compostion. Doing this really forced me to slow down. I find I was looking a lot more at what was in the frame in this challege as aposed to just zooming in and out!

Through this journey of photography I’m finding that for my product photography I have to have some kind of action going on Weither it’s a pour like this one or a splash in a way I guess you could say it’s just adding beauty to an interaction with a certain product. For this shot it was a mix of four different images composited together the can and the glass were in the same shot I used a paint brush that was laying around the house to hold an empty can into place through a hole I punched into the bottom. Then I opened a second can and did several pours to make sure I had a variety of shots to choose from.
