🏁 PASSION STARTS SOMEWHERE…mine started here💜

This is me at just 3 years old, sitting in the stands at my local dirt track Deming Speedway , cheering on my favorite race car drivers.

Long before I ever climbed into a race car myself, I loved this sport.

I loved the sound. The speed. The cars. The people. The excitement of race night. I didn’t know then where racing would take me, I just knew I wanted to be part of it.
Now I’m 16, and that same little girl who sat in those stands gets to climb behind the wheel and race on that very track.

When Hoosier talks about Passion, Pride & Success in grassroots racing, this is what passion means to me.
It isn’t just wanting to win. It’s loving the sport enough to keep learning, working, getting dirty, helping others, showing up and giving it everything you have.
Racing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and being named a Top 25 Finalist for the Hoosier Hero Class of 2027 means more to me than I can put into words.

McKenna Morgan #68 has been named a TOP 25 FINALIST for the 2027 Hoosier Hero Class and now she needs YOUR help to make the FINAL 12!

If selected, McKenna would have the incredible opportunity to represent Deming Speedway and the Pacific Northwest dirt racing community on a national stage as a Hoosier Hero. Winners will be announced live in person at the PRI Show in Indianapolis, Indiana.

And she would be making history along the way , becoming the first Hoosier Hero to represent Deming Speedway and the PNW dirt racing scene! 🏁

So, what exactly is a Hoosier Hero?
Hoosier Racing Tire created the Hoosier Hero program to recognize accomplished competitors who help fuel passion, pride and success in racing , both on and off the track.

McKenna is a 3rd generation Deming Speedway racer. She grew up here at Deming Speedway attending races at just a few days old, competing in junior sprints, the 600 restricted class and now the 600 Class. She is an avid mechanic, does her own car maintenance, Crews on the Lemley Family 410 team at Skagit Speedway and is a straight A student taking both High School and College Classes. After High School her dream is to head to Indiana to attend Purdue University as a Motorsports Engineering Student.

Now we have the chance to help send a Deming Speedway racer to the Hoosier Hero Final 12!
