This is the very first maternity dress I ever purchased, and it is still a client favourite even now! Autumn maternity sessions are some of my favourites, and purple is such a good contrasting colour to all of the warmer tones.

These two were also easily one of the most photogenic couples I've ever had in front of my camera. They needed minimal prompting and directions which was awesome! However, if that wasn't the case, I want to reassure anyone thinking about booking that I always pose my clients from head to toe when it’s necessary.

The Emerlie Dress is without a doubt my most requested dress! Nearly every maternity session features it in at least one colour. I have it in navy, heather purple, mauve, hunter green, pale blue (all shown in this post), burgundy, teal, and peach (shown all over my page in other posts). This dress features long sleeves, a criss-cross sweetheart neckline, a fitted skirt, and a small train. I have matching chiffon toss trains for nearly every colour. If you can believe it, all of these are a size XL, which have been clipped to fit someone who wears a smaller size. That makes this dress extremely versatile because it fits sizes XS-XL (approximately bra bands sizes 32 - 42).

Which one is your favourite? I have added so many new dresses to my Client Closet. I have a mix of patterned, solid, beaded, tulle, knit, chiffon, and stretch satin outfits in my collection. And a wide variety of styles ranging from more formal to more boho style. Joy was kind enough to model a bunch of them for me. These dresses all work for both maternity and non-maternity sessions.

It has been so amazing to witness the families that I photograph grow and change over the years. I don't think people realize just how much things can change from year to year. It's one of the reasons I recommend family photos once a year, and also one of the reasons I offer mini sessions. Not only are they cost effective, but they are a great option for families that only want to purchase 3-5 images per year.

I started doing photos for this family when they were expecting their first son. Since then, we've done so many family sessions, another maternity and newborn session, and a ton of minis!

I've been really thinking a lot lately about all of the people who constantly support me, the people who share, comment, engage with my posts, and the people who book me consistently year after year. I am honestly so blown away by the clients and friends I've made in the last 8 years. And I will always be so grateful for the people who love this business and what we create together as much as I do.

I've done a few sessions for Dr. Lindsay (the best chiropractor around, in my humble opinion), but I think these headshots might be battling the others for my favourites!

I've been seeing her as a patient for over 10 years now, and she's one of the reasons I can still use and lift/hold my camera. She is working at True North Chiropractic & Wellness Centre in Aspen Ridge, and I highly recommend her if you're looking for a new chiropractor!

I 💕 doing headshots! Branding images are some of favourite types of portraits. And just like the empowerment session I shared before this one, these images seem to say "Confident!" "Independent!" and "In Charge!" These are some of the best headshots I've taken in ages, but when my client has a clear vision in mind, bringing it to life is easy!
