Just after 18:00 hours on May 28, 2026, Lakeshore Fire Rescue Stations 5, 4, and 1, with automatic Aid from Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue Station 19. C-K Pumper 19 arrived to a fully involved dwelling fire and pulled two lines. Lakeshore Engine 5 arrived and also pulled a line. C-K firefighters made a brief interior push before being called out. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. Crews remained on scene for extensive overhaul. Photos by Buff 1.

Chatham Kent Fire & Rescue Station 15 Raleigh North and Station 12 Harwich North on scene of a vehicle fire on Highway 401 in the eastbound lanes at Drake Road. Both lanes are shut down. Please avoid the area and use an alternative route. Photos submitted by Sarah Dawson.

VIDEO: Around 0:120 hours on May 24, 2026, Detroit Fire Department tapped out a Commercial Box Alarm for fire in an apartment complex at 621 Orleans Street. Engine 9 arrived and stretched on a three-story apartment building with fire in the roof. Crews began to pull ceiling from th 3rd story balcony in order to access the fire and extinguish the fire. Firefighters remained on scene for extensive overhaul. Video by Buff 1.

Around 0:120 hours on May 24, 2026, Detroit Fire Department tapped out a Commercial Box Alarm for fire in an apartment complex at 621 Orleans Street. Engine 9 arrived and stretched on a three-story apartment building with fire in the roof. Crews began to pull ceiling from a 3rd story balcony in order to access the fire and extinguish the fire. Firefighters remained on scene for extensive overhaul. Photos by Buff 1.

VIDEO: Around 11:30 hours on May 23, 2026, Detroit Fire Department tapped out, Engines 50, 41, 32, 46, Ladder 23, Squad 3, Chief 3, Chief 6 on the Box Alarm for fire reported in a dwelling at 9788 Traverse St. Engine 50 arrived and stretched on a 1.5-story dwelling. Firefighters made a push on the interior and went to the roof to vent, when the second level flashed. Crews were pulled out to regroup and make another attempt. Crews made a good knock on the fire and performed extensive overhaul before going out for rehab. Video by Buff
