Saving the Creatures Photography I am a wildlife photographer, environmentalist and speaker for conservation efforts. My photos are for sale in the form of greeting cards and framed images.

I am a wildlife photographer volunteering locally and working with consrvation efforts, since 2008. I have been helping to protect the Laurel Creek Headwaters ESL (environmentally sensitive landscape) in the Region of Waterloo, Ontario. My photography is used as a pictorial inventory for proof of species in an area, protection of landscape ecology, traffic studies and wildlife road issues, etc. I

have been a speaker and also participate in venues to advocate for the environment and attend some regional council meetings when volunteering with Laurel Creek Headwaters ESL as an advocate. I have also volunteered as a photographer for Wildlife Haven Waterloo working with the yearly fundraising calendar, speaking engagements, etc. and a onshore volunteer with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (ocean conservation) and volunteer as a photographer with the London, Ontario chapter. This brings my love of nature to others, bringing awareness to our community. The photography supports conservation efforts. (Please note that I create my own greetings and framed photos from second hand and recycled materials to be kind to the environment)

Most of the catches are catfish that I see as they are identified by the whisker-like barbels.

Back in May at the mall.... I watched American robins, European Starlings and Song sparrows gather different types of worms for their nestling young. Below is a robin trying to keep a worm from escaping to take back to it's chicks.... I chuckled watching the robin trying to keep the meal from escaping.

Northern Harrier hawk.... this is a female hawk I took photos of years ago. The males are more all over whitish-gray, and given the name "the grey ghost" sometimes due to their appearance. The juveniles and females are brown tones.
These birds are known for their more owl like appearance, given that their facial disc assists in the location of their prey.
Through-out history, humanity has watched and studied the avian creature's world for it's ability to take flight. Humans have fashioned and named the Harrier aircraft after this species of prey bird's hunting skills.

These little robins live in the British Isles..... in North America our robins when first seen by European settlers were namesaked after these little birdie buddies.
American robins are actually a thrush and not closely related to the english robin at all which is in the flycatcher family of birds.

🐦🌿 Few things feel more peaceful than watching a robin hop through a quiet garden as winter settles in. Across Britain, these cheerful little birds have become symbols of comfort, resilience, and the beauty of everyday nature.

Unlike the larger American robin found across the USA and Canada, the European robin is small, round, and surprisingly fearless. Their curious personality often brings them closer to people than most wild birds.

Nature’s smallest moments often leave the biggest impressions. 🍂🐦
