Some sessions just feel extra special 🤍

I used to babysit this sweet girl years ago… and now she’s a mama with babies of her own. Watching life come full circle like this is something I’ll never take for granted.

There is just something so magical about in-home newborn sessions — the quiet snuggles on your own couch, tiny toes curled up where real life happens every day, and a proud big brother soaking it all in beside his brand-new best friend.

These are the moments that become part of your family story. The ones you’ll look back on years from now and say, “remember when they were this little?”

Hi 🫶 I realized it’s probably time I reintroduced myself here 🤍

I’m Leigh, the person behind the camera at Thorne to be Wild Photography.

I’m a mom of four, I work a full-time job during the day, and somewhere in between school drop-offs, extra curricular, busy evenings, and real life chaos… I photograph people’s most important memories.

I’m also a small-town girl at heart, which probably explains why I’m always drawn to open spaces, quiet light, and moments that feel simple and real.

Motherhood changed the way I see photography completely.

Before kids, I thought photography was about creating beautiful images.

After kids, I understood it’s really about holding onto time.

Because time moves fast.
Faster than anyone warns you.

One day your babies are reaching for your hand without thinking… and one day they stop.

One day you’re planning your wedding…
and suddenly it’s years later and those photos are what bring you back.

That’s why I photograph the way I do.

Not stiff posing.
Not perfect moments.
Real ones.

The way someone looks at you when they think no one is watching.
The way your kids lean into you without asking.
The way your family exists together right now.. exactly as you are.

Because one day those images become part of your story.
And eventually… they become part of your legacy.

This fall is marking a bit of a new season of life for our family, so starting in September I’ll be stepping back and working at a slower pace for about 2–3 months.

With the weather now getting nicer week day sessions from 5:30-8:30 are back in action! Message me to book today!

POV: it’s your 8th birthday… and you get to tell mom exactly what to do and how to pose. 🤍🎂

And honestly? She understood the assignment perfectly.

This session felt so full of life and love — the giggles, the “no mom stand HERE,” the little moments in between where you could just feel how special this bond is. It was wholesome in the best way.

Katie and I go way back… we met when our oldest babies were just little through a mom group, both figuring out motherhood one day at a time. And somehow, all these years later, here we are. Fun fact — she’s actually been my nurse during the day for almost all of my babies 🤍 life has a funny way of keeping people connected like that.

We don’t see each other often, but this session? It holds such a special place in my heart. I remember Hailey as a tiny little babe, just like my Colton once was… and now here she is, 8 years old, full of personality, telling her mom how to pose for their photos.

Time really does fly. Faster than we ever expect.

These are the moments that matter — the ones where your kids are still little enough to reach for you, to laugh with you, to want you right there beside them. The ones you’ll look back on and wish you could step into again, even just for a second.

This mama is doing it all — even on the hard days. Showing up, loving deeply, holding her babies close and giving them a childhood filled with warmth, safety, and so much love. And you can feel it the second you’re around them.
