Today marks 4 years since I took a leap of faith, left my full-time job, and started my photography business full time.

What started as a passion has grown into something I never could have imagined. Over the past four years, I've had the privilege of meeting incredible people, capturing important milestones, exploring beautiful locations, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Running a business has come with its share of challenges, lessons, and long days, but it's also brought opportunities and experiences I'm incredibly grateful for.

To every client, friend, family member, and supporter who has trusted me, shared my work, recommended me, or simply cheered me on along the way, thank you. Your support means more than you know.

Here's to 4 years in business, and many more moments behind the camera. 🙏🏾☺️📸

Spending a short afternoon on the beautiful Kiwanis Nature Trail with Teagan was a great way to enjoy the sunshine and capture some natural portraits. 🌿☀️

With her boyfriend along for support and plenty of easy conversation throughout the session, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, allowing her personality to shine through in every photograph.

The warm sunlight filtering through the trees and the peaceful surroundings made for the perfect backdrop for this portrait session. Thank you, Teagan, for trusting me to capture these memories!

Some photoshoots are about the photos, and some are about the people.

I recently had the chance to do a shoot with my friend Jackie. We've done countless photoshoots together over the years, and every one of them has been filled with great conversations, laughter, and creativity.

The original plan for this session changed when I realized I had forgotten a piece of my lighting equipment at home, but sometimes the unexpected leads to something even better. We embraced the natural light, and ended up with an awesome photoshoot.

Thank you, Jackie, always a pleasure!

Steel, dust, and golden light. ✨

For the final chapter of this series with Lexus, we traded polished backgrounds for big orange graffiti tanks, forgotten rail lines, and open skies. Sometimes the most beautiful portraits come from the most unexpected places. Also, working and experimenting with off camera flash is so fun.

A huge thank you to Lexus for modeling for this shoot.

What an incredible few days at the 2026 NWT Track & Field Championships!

I was invited to capture video throughout the event, but in between filming I couldn't resist taking a few photos as well. Over the past few days I had the opportunity to watch more than 1,000 athletes from 31 teams compete, challenge themselves, and celebrate their accomplishments.

The weather stayed nice and cool for most of the event, and the atmosphere was amazing. Everywhere you looked there were smiles, cheers, encouragement, and athletes giving their absolute best. From the sprint races and field events to the Corporate Challenge and Mascot Races, there was never a dull moment.

A huge thank you to NWT Track & Field for inviting me to be part of this event. It was a pleasure to document such an incredible championship and witness the hard work, determination, and sportsmanship displayed by so many young athletes.

Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed, and thank you to the coaches, volunteers, officials, organizers, parents, and supporters who helped make this event such a success. You should all be proud of what you accomplished.

Here are a photos I captured from the final day of the 2026 NWT Track & Field Championships!

What a fantastic day at the Track & Field Championships!

From the first start signal in the morning to the final events of the afternoon, the track was alive with energy, determination, and excitement. Athletes gave it everything they had, families and friends filled the stands with cheers, and everywhere you looked there were smiles, high fives, personal bests, and even a few records being broken.

It was incredible to see so many athletes competing, supporting one another, and showcasing months of hard work and dedication.

Here are a few moments I captured while doing video around the track. Congratulations to all the athletes who competed—you should be proud of what you accomplished!

Here's Part 2 from Lexus' outdoor photoshoot!

For this session, we visited a few different locations around Fisherman's Wharf and continued experimenting with something I don't use very often—off-camera flash outdoors.

Most of my photography relies heavily on natural light, but I wanted to challenge myself and push outside my comfort zone. Outdoor flash can be tricky because the available light is constantly changing throughout a session, so it's a great way to keep learning and improving.

As a self-taught photographer with no formal training, I think it's important to keep practicing, trying new techniques, and finding ways to grow creatively. Sessions like this give me the opportunity to do exactly that.

A huge thank you to Lexus for volunteering to model and for being patient while I experimented with different lighting setups and locations throughout the shoot. Having someone willing to work through the creative process makes a big difference.

I still have one more set from this session to share, so stay tuned!
