A few bald eagle shots from the winter I somehow never touched until now. I still have probably 200 more to go through. 🫣

I decided to set this post to Dolly Parton since the world lost her today. She was always a champion for nature and conservation so it only feels right have her music along side such a beautiful animal. Rest in peace queen.

~ Plovers in a dangerous time ~

Semipalmated plovers might one of the cutest lil guys you'll find foraging along our coasts this time of year. In typical plover fasion, their style of finding food is run, pause, pluck; which seems to work quite well for them. You can often find them sharing space and traveling with other small shore birds like least sandpipers and other species of plover.

This is probably one of my favorite macro shots I've taken so far. I absolutely love the Northern paper wasp and I've been turning day after day to the spot I first noticed one in the hopes of getting the perfect shot. In my mind this is that perfect shot.

The Razorbill probably sits among my all-time favorite birds. Derpy elegance at it's finest.

It was an incredible experience to finally see them last week off the coast of Peggys cove on Pearl island.
