Well the time has come…

I’ve been working pretty well non stop for a few years now. 5 days a week in automotive, 1-2 days a week in photography plus fitting wedding planning and buying/selling a home in there.

Last weekend I got to truly relax and have fun for the first time in a while which has made me realize just how burnt out and low I have been mental health wise.

Due to this I have decided to take a few weeks off from photography to enjoy some weekends with my family in our new home.

Thank you for the continued support and I hope to see you in a few weeks.

Black Jacket Wasp

This Black Jacket seems to be trying to convert to a fuzzy yellow sweater as it feeds on nectar and is covered by pollen.

Asian Lady Beetle

It always feels like a bit of a let down when you find a ladybug then realize it’s an Asian Lady beetle instead. It makes me wonder how many times I made this mistake as a kid.

Ruddy Darter

It almost felt as if I walked into the wrong exam room with this one…. But the conditions must have been just right for mating on this fall day as there were ruddy darters mating all over the place.

Twice Stabbed Stink Bug

Sitting among the plants in the field behind our home, waiting for a subject to check out some of the purple flowers for a good background when I turned and noticed some black and red. A couple of Twice stabbed stink bugs were clinging to the plant beside me.

Belted Kingfisher

Not one of best pictures but one of my favourite birds I haven’t had many opportunities to try and photograph this year. She also seemed really excited to go dive for fish.
