I’m originally from Nova Scotia, but life brought me to Newfoundland in 2013 — and it quickly became home. I’m married to my best friend, who also happens to be the amazing father of our two handsome boys, Alex and Carter. Before photography, I worked as a paramedic. I loved helping people, but the demands of the job, the emotional weight, and the toll it took on my heart became too heavy. So in J

une 2022, I took a leap of faith and stepped into photography full-time — a passion I’ve had since I was young. It’s been the most fulfilling decision of my life. Photography gives me the space to create, connect, and capture moments that truly matter. And I’m so grateful every day for the clients who trust me with their memories.

Hard work really does pay off. 🤎

I’ve had this on my dream list for a long time, and yesterday I finally get to check it off.

It’s easy to look at this and see a camera, but I see so much more. I see every late night, every session, every client who trusted me, every sacrifice, every investment, and every time I chose to keep showing up and believing in this business of mine.

This isn’t just a camera to me. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come, how much this business has grown, and what can happen when you work hard, stay patient, and keep believing in the dream.

Dreams don’t happen overnight. They’re built one little step at a time, and yesterday, I get to celebrate one of those steps.

One dream checked off the list. So many more to go.

🤎 A Little Something for Karlee 🤎

I’ve been thinking about how I can help support Karlee and her family during this difficult time, and I’ve decided to hold a small fundraiser for her.

On September 10th & 12th, I’ll be offering 10-minute outdoor mini sessions for $100 + HST, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Karlee.

These sessions are planned to take place outdoors, but if the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll move everything into the studio.

I’ll start with September 10th & 12, and depending on how these go, I may open up another date as well.

If you’ve been wanting some updated photos while also helping support Karlee and her family, I’d love to have you join me.

A little patience with me today and in the coming days 🤎

I just wanted to pop on and let everyone know that due to an emergency, things may be a little slower than usual today and in the coming days response times may be delayed.

I’m doing my best to keep up with messages and everything that needs my attention, but right now my focus needs to be elsewhere.

I’ve had quite a few families reach out asking if I’d make the trip to St. John’s for fall photos, and honestly… I’m tempted! 🤎

I’m considering making the trip the week of October 19th–23rd and offering a limited number of fall family sessions while I’m there.

Before I officially make plans, I want to see if there’s enough interest to make the trip happen!

If I offered fall family sessions in St. John’s that week, would you be interested in booking one?

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully explain just how much I love this career. 🤎

Yes, I love creating beautiful photographs. I love finding the light, capturing the little details, and turning a moment into something you can hold onto forever.

But honestly, the people are what make this job so incredibly special to me.

Getting to photograph families year after year and watching them grow is one of the greatest gifts I could ask for.

I’ve watched tiny babies become toddlers, toddlers become big kids, families welcome new little ones, and personalities change and grow right in front of my camera. I’ve watched shy little ones become confident, silly kids and gotten to know families beyond just that one session.

And there’s something so special about when you see a familiar family on your calendar and think, “I can’t wait to see them again.” 🥹

Because somewhere along the way, you stop feeling like clients and start feeling like people I’m genuinely so grateful to know.

You trust me with your memories, invite me into some of the most important seasons of your lives, and then come back and let me continue telling your story.

That is why I love what I do.

It’s not just the photographs. It’s the relationships, the memories, the little people I get to watch grow, and knowing that years from now, I’ll have played a tiny part in preserving pieces of your family’s story.

I truly, genuinely love my job. And getting to do it with families who continue to choose me year after year? That’s the part I’m most grateful for. 🤎
