We have been hosting storytelling events over the past year as a fun way to share our resources and support another Fredericton non-profit. Our next event will take place on Thursday November 19 and this time around we've chosen to support Fredericton's only Community/Campus radio station, CHSR FM.

The theme for the evening will be "signals, sounds, and invisible connections". We'll have some familiar storytellers and will hopefully welcome a few new voices to the stage.

Wow! What a night.

HUGE thanks to our good friends and community partners at Gallery 78 for hosting a special evening of storytelling last night in support of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. Gracious, kind, and community minded, we can't say enough about our dear friends at New Brunswick's oldest private art gallery, who are celebrating 50 years this year!

Extra special thanks to our storytellers for the evening: Jordan Trethewey, Jacqueline Carr, Ramneet Kalra, Sebastien Legault, Sylvain Pitre, and Matt Carter.

And of course, many, many thanks to the attentive and appreciative sold out crowd who filled the space and made all our storytellers feel welcome and appreciated. We couldn't have asked for a better audience.

Our next storytelling event - Don't Touch That Dial! - An evening of stories about signals, sounds, and invisible connections - will take place at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre on Thursday November 19. Tickets are pay-what-you-wish with all proceeds split evenly between CSAC and this event's featured not-for-profit, CHSR FM, Fredericton's community/campus radio station, or as The Fredericton Word calls them, "Fredericton's OG independent media."

What does community look like? Here's a great example. A few weeks ago, our friends at Gallery 78 reached out with an offer to host a fundraising event in support of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. How kind!

The event, Stories & Sips - An Evening of Storytelling and Hot Chocolate, will take place at Gallery 78 on October 15. Six storytellers will share true stories centred around a fall theme while the audience enjoys a warm beverage and snacks in the cozy confines of the oldest private art gallery in New Brunswick. And, everyone who purchases a ticket gets to take home a handcrafted mug. Sounds like a fun evening to us!
