Before you fall in love with the golden-hour photo, look at the dimmer ones.

The portraits may happen in beautiful light. Your speeches might happen in a dim room, followed by a dance floor full of moving people.

When you’re comparing photographers, spend time with that part of the gallery too. Look for expressions, atmosphere and the people you’d want to remember.

For us, those photographs belong in the conversation just as much as the portraits.

The moment that matters most might be one a photographer wouldn’t know to look for.

The hands reaching in during the Haldi. The conversations around the Mehendi. The emotion during the Nikah. The families coming together at the Walima.
Each celebration carries its own meaning, and every family brings its own way of doing things.

We’re Nandini and Jay, the couple behind TTC. Our South Asian background and experience photographing multicultural weddings help us recognise the importance of these moments. We also know that understanding your wedding starts with listening to you.

We want to know which traditions you’re including, who plays an important role and any customs we should respect while photographing. With two perspectives behind the cameras, we can document the ceremony alongside the reactions and connections around it.

Nobody tells you what this job actually costs until you're in it.

The hours on your feet. The weeks of editing after the wedding ends for everyone but you. Being the only person at someone's wedding who doesn't get to eat, dance, or cry freely because you're too busy making sure nobody else misses a second of it.

We wouldn't trade it. But we also won't pretend it's just showing up with a nice camera.

This is what it takes to get your day right. Every time.
