I was lucky enough to be in St Louis when this installation was up. It was the week of 9/11. It was spectacular! Flags of Valor at Art Hill in Forest Park. There are no words to just how incredible this display was. “Inspired by the heroes of September 11th and the ensuing war on terror. Flags of Valor pays tribute to the first responders and victims of the 9/11 attacks and honors the service members who bravely defended our nation.” -Flagsofvalorstl.com

The city looks a little different in the first light of day.
These two images were captured in St. Louis just as the sun was coming up, casting that warm golden glow across everything it touched. One frame highlights a quiet home, the other an industrial smokestack—two very different parts of the city, connected by the same beautiful morning light.
Sometimes you don't have to look far to find something worth photographing. You just have to be there when the light is right.

Not every beach day is about swimming.
Sometimes it’s about sitting on a weathered log, listening to the waves, feeling the cool breeze, and simply watching the water roll in.
A small moment shared between two people on a quiet stretch of beach—nothing extraordinary, yet somehow exactly what the day called for.

Coming in hot… and putting on the brakes. 🦅
These two frames capture an osprey making its final approach to the nest, spreading its wings wide to slow itself down just before landing.
It takes incredible control and precision to make a landing like this look effortless. One moment, it's flying full speed—the next, it's hovering over the nest with wings fully extended.
Nature makes even the hardest things look easy.

Where two waters meet, the North Cape stands watch.
This black and white aerial view of the North Cape Lighthouse captures one of the most dramatic places on Prince Edward Island—where the Gulf of St. Lawrence meets the Northumberland Strait.
There’s something timeless about a lighthouse standing at the edge of the land, surrounded by nothing but water and sky. In black and white, the landscape takes on an even more powerful and mysterious feel.
Another reminder of why I keep coming back to PEI.

Standing tall above the water, perfectly balanced between stillness and reflection.
There’s an elegance to egrets that always catches my attention—their graceful posture, quiet patience, and ability to make even a simple branch rising from the water feel like the perfect stage.
Sometimes nature doesn't need to do much to make an impression.

How I feel about Monday… even when Monday is a holiday. 😂
Head down. Tail up. No idea what's going on.
Happy Labor Day! Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend—and finding a little more motivation than this duck. 🦆

Some birds are impossible to overlook.
During a visit to the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis, I had the opportunity to photograph this incredible Andean Condor. With its enormous wingspan, powerful presence, and unmistakable character, it's easy to understand why this is one of the most impressive birds I've ever encountered.
Two portraits, two different looks—but the same incredible bird.

Three different rhythms, all in one moment.
Above, a moody sky hangs over downtown Austin. Below, the calm waters of Town Lake sit quietly beneath the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge. And between them, the evening traffic moves steadily through the city—people heading home, life carrying on.
Black and white seemed like the only way to capture the contrast: the stillness of the water, the movement of the city, and the weight of the sky above it all.
