I do a yearly video for the Calgary Stampeders showcasing their new food items and here is this seasons!

I remember the first time they asked me to do the voiceover and I freaked out a lil. Now I actually really look forward to it.

It’s my second time here now,
and every time I come back, it feels strangely familiar.

The landscape feels like
if Drumheller and Banff had a baby.

Red rock mountains.
Dry desert air.
Storms rolling through the cliffs.

It honestly makes me want to keep travelling forever.

Standing here alone with you. ✨

It’s been 6 years since I first photographed & first their engagement session, then their wedding and back to Banff for a 5 year wedding anniversary shoot.

I’m often booked on new moon nights. They’re the darkest of the month. The stars are out. As long as the clouds play nice.

And then the space weather. I looked at my phone and seen the numbers and thought ahhhh perfect. Aurora.

These two got married in the Ziedler dome with projected stars around them on their wedding day. And now here I was able to photograph them under the real ones 5 years later.

Thanks for making a trip out my way to shoot again you two.

Part of my heart lives in Mexico 🇲🇽

Cabo magic. The most epic crew.
This wedding will live in my memory forever.

Fran and I grew up together in Hinton, and watching her and David bring their people all the way to Cabo to celebrate felt so full circle and so special.

Heading back to Mexico this March and October for two weddings and time with my mum’s side of the family.

I’m Sofia Katherine // Sof to my close peeps

I wear a lot of hats these days. Here’s a little snapshot of what I’m up to lately:

💍 Wedding photographer for Canadian couples. I’ve been to PEI, Tofino, Toronto, Banff, Ottawa, Vancouver and everywhere between for weddings in this beautiful country. There’s no where I won’t go in Canada for a wedding!

I’m half Mexican & take destinations there a couple times a year. Sayulita, Queretaro & CDMX are a few of my most commonly visited areas.

I’m going into another year as the Media Head for (we are currently North America’s largest all female media team) and dedicate over 200 hours per year to this incredible gathering.
