Resharing as a reminder of where things are currently at with RDP ❤️ please read the post!

Hey folks! Can you believe it has been exactly 6 months since I last posted? That is the longest I've gone since I first created my page back in 2013!

Since embracing another career path, photography has definitely taken a back seat but with Summer upon us, I am ready to start taking bookings again :) Availability will continue to be limited and as always, on a first come, first served basis.

I offer outdoor or in your home* lifestyle photography in Brant County/Brantford:
~ families, children, babies/newborn
~ cake smashes/birthday
~ maternity and breastfeeding
~ bo***ir, singles and couples
~ grad photos
~ creative/artistic concepts

*in your home sessions must meet my criteria and are subject to approval on a case by case basis

At this time, I am not offering:
~ event coverage
~ weddings
~ multigenerational, large family group sessions.

To get things rolling and to help this post get some traction, comment with your favourite photo session you've had with RDP! Apparently you can't share photos but you can tell us about it :) Everyone who does will get bonus photos included in their session, if booked this summer ❤️

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I had a big announcement to make....this is one of those bittersweet ones....

As of March 1, 2026, the studio will be closing.

Let me be clear - Rainbow Duck Photography is NOT closing....but in March, I am going back to school. I am also currently working 2 other jobs. So unfortunately, I will no longer have the time to maintain the studio.

I will continue to take regular bookings and may even host some outdoor minis through the year, including possibly opening the studio back up just for a couple of 2026 Christmas mini dates. I've had some cool project ideas in mind for a while and may be able to focus more on those now too.

But of course...this update also means that my overall availability will be drastically reduced. I am no longer taking bookings for any weddings, major events, or anything that needs to be planned far in advance. I will be taking less bookings overall.

I'm currently finishing clearing Christmas out of the studio and will post when that is complete. For the next two months, I will be prioritizing the following:

- bo***ir minis (hair/makeup not included)
- maternity and/or newborn (discount when both are booked)
- breastfeeding
- cake smash

I will book family photos but I strongly suggest waiting for nicer weather to book an outdoor session instead, especially for larger groups or for those with younger children. The garden studio has been a work in progress but I plan to use it a lot more this year. And as always, I know lots of great places to shoot!

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported my journey. I hope you'll continue to follow me in this next era of growth ❤️ It was a goal from the very start to one day have my own studio space and I'm proud of what I've accomplished in nearly 3 years.
