Here's some photos from Sunday evening's Chase as a Supercell exploded near Tilston, MB and lifted northward along the SK/MB Border toward Ebor when it was at full strength and eventually continued up to the Trans Canada Highway and Elkhorn, MB where it died rather quickly.

I still can't believe it didn't produce a tornado.

Something was missing for sure because that was a dangerous supercell and then it just collapsed.

Some folks say Sunday failed because of an Outflow boundary from earlier storms on Sunday morning and that definitely could have been the case.

Either way, Frustrating as a Chaser, likely fortunate for residents in the area.

Team Member, Jamie Freeman got the time lapse of the Shelf Cloud and following Dust Storm finished today that we filmed back on Tuesday evening South of Brandon and it’s … GNARLY!! 😱 🤩 ⛈️

We basically experienced what’s known as a “Haboob” that mostly occurs in US states like Arizona and Texas come through SW Manitoba on Tuesday evening. It was so cool to see and yet also devastating at the same time.

This brought wind gusts of over 130km/h to portions of Southwestern Manitoba as it ripped through the area! 🚨 🌬️

Deloraine recorded a Wind Gust of 130km/h on Tuesday evening. 🚨 🌬️

Nick Bugg says that the door of the Elevator was blown out along with siding and a window! 😬

Thank you, Ian and CBC Manitoba for bringing this important story to the forefront today!

We strongly believe that the alerts being sent out need to be better targeted for the specific area that will be receiving impacts from the storm and it should not be based on the RM as a whole or the “Cell coverage area”.

Warning fatigue is real and was noted several times from people just in this article alone. We really hope ECCC and the others behind the scenes coordinating upcoming changes get those storm based polygon alerts up and running next season and stop delaying it.

Having more targeted alerts is going to save lives in the future but it needs to happen sooner rather than later.

My wife and I were receiving Destructive Wind Alerts to our cell phones after the winds in Brandon had already passed and the Dust Storm settled and received them multiple times closer to midnight … Meanwhile, the Dust Storm impacted Brandon closer to 9pm on Tuesday evening.

Something has definitely got to change!
