One more before I go…
I have got such a backlog of Jaguar photos from last year which I have yet to edit. Here is a high key of this beauty on the beach. Enjoy!

It’s in the details…
Elephants are my favourite animals, yet I find them often hard to get good photographs of. Being herd animals means that there is frequent overlapping and individuals cast shadows on each other. A lot has come together for a decent elephant photo. Close ups and detail shots are a great alternative and can save the day when things get messy.

3 Destinations. 3 Roar-some sightings. Chobe National Park, Okavango Delta, Kalahari. I think I gathered an amount of good quality lion images like never before. A good problem to have for my guest and I! Images taken while hosting a Chobe-Okavango Delta-Kalahari photo safari for Pangolin Photo Safaris in July 2026.

Another South Luangwa beauty…
This female leopard walked straight up to our vehicle and passed right underneath it continuing on a mission. We were the only vehicle at the sighting which made this behaviour quite interesting. We soon learned that this seems like a trademark of this leopard who repeated exactly the same on two more occasions.

So in love with this dreamy scene from Lower Zambezi NP. If you ever head there, don‘t make it all about the predators. There are few places that you can photograph Africa‘s giants in such a beautiful environment.

Some South Luangwa Magic….
Zambia must be one of the most underrated safari destinations in Africa. We have just returned from an incredible month in South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi NP and sightings have been nothing short of epic. This male lion backlit portrait was taken at sunset in South Luangwa.

Kalahari mornings…
We could have not asked for a better ending to our recent Chobe-Delta-Kalahari photo safari. One of the Kalahari males backlit by the sunrise. Image taken on a recent photo safari that I hosted for Canon EOS R3 + RF400mm f/2.8L IS USM. 1/ 800sec at f/4.0, ISO 500, -2/3EV.
