Moving series: setting up day 1

Setting up the maternity photoshoot backdrop. This is the main backdrop, and I wanted to make sure it stays at one place. It’s not the lightest system so It can’t be moved around all the time.

Moving series: part 3 - Organising everything and putting it in its place. We have a lot of materials, from flokatis, to pillows, mattresses, little beds, bowls, baskets, hats, headbands, wraps, textured rugs, outfits, maternity dresses, flowers etc.

We have to find a space for everything in this new place. So for sure the studio will be moved around until we find our comfortable rhythm and space.

I can’t wait to have you all in here already. I already feel it’s going to be amazing 🥰

During our newborn session, we always include photos of the family without an extra cost.

Because as much as it’s great to capture your baby, I find it even more important to capture your family with the newborn baby.

🚩 DO NOT BOOK Tharwa Said Photography! 🚩

Honestly… the red flags are everywhere:

❌ She'll help you feel completely at ease, even about your bump or postpartum body.
❌ Has blankets, bottles warmer, breastfeeding pillow, snacks, tissues, and probably half her studio in her bag.
❌ Makes sure your newborn is warm, safe, and comfortable every second.
❌ Will hype you up like your personal emotional support person.
❌ Somehow stays calm even when your little one decides it's NOT nap time.
❌ Gets emotional during precious moments but still nails every photo.
❌ Makes anxious mums feel like the most beautiful version of themselves.
❌ Notices tiny details nobody else sees.
❌ Somehow turns a fussy baby into dreamy newborn photos.
❌ By the end, feels more like a friend than just your photographer.

Absolutely ridiculous behavior for someone hired to "take pictures." 😂

So if you want someone who simply shows up and leaves… I'm definitely not your girl.

BUT if you want someone who genuinely cares about your family, celebrates this precious time with you, and captures moments you'll relive forever… then I'd love to be there! 🤍✨

Expecting your first baby is the most exciting time of your life. Making lists on what to do before baby arrives, what to buy, and to prepare.

One of the things to add to your list, is a pregnancy photoshoot. It’s the best gift you can give to yourself and your baby.

But I know the struggles of actually daring to stand infront of the camera. It’s the first time you see your body changes. You don’t look like what you’re used to, and that can bring a lot of negative thoughts. But you shouldn’t. It’s an amazing moment you’re going through. You’re growing a whole a** human. That’s something you should be proud of.

You might think to yourself, why should I do a pregnancy photoshoot. I don’t know how to pose, I’m not a model etc. BUT I’ve actually never photographed a model. All the mamas I’ve had in front of my lens, were not models but real people. In terms of posing, I am guiding you through out the session time. You don’t have to prepare a thing.

And at the end, you are going to love seeing yourself how someone else sees you. That’s always a confidence boost. You’re going to see just how beautiful you are while pregnant. And you WILL NEVER REGRET IT!!!
