Currently deep into editing a family shoot where I got to switch places and be part of the frame. Shoutout to  for capturing a rare shot of me that I actually like!

Since Instagram insists on some personal sharing from time to time, here’s a bit about me.

I’m Dieter, 28 years old, happily married to  , proud dad to Odette, with baby number two on the way in March 2023.

Beyond the camera lens, I find joy in watching series and movies, exploring mountains (whether skiing, hiking or cycling), and ambitiously perfecting my golf game.

Living in Belgium while working as a teacher in the Netherlands gives my life a unique blend of culture and vocabularies, but hey, it keeps things interesting!

Ready for a glimpse into my photography philosophy?

I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures. When I began taking photography more seriously, it coincided with my wife’s venture into the wedding business. This naturally led me into wedding photography, allowing me to ‘make some photography miles’.

While I still genuinely adore weddings and all the beautiful moments they encompass, I knew from the outset that I didn’t want to be exclusively known as ‘only’ a wedding photographer. My perspective and interests extend beyond those boundaries.

Towards the end of the summer, I decided to explore some concert photography. And what an experience that was! Still much to learn, but I received some encouraging feedback and found immense satisfaction in the seize the moment.

So here I am, sitting behind my computer amid my busy ‘normal’ workdays, contemplating how to delve deeper into concert and music photography.

If you’re still reading, you might be able to help me on this exiting path! I’m on the lookout for artists, bands and venues that might permit me to capture their performances and create visual stories for them.
