Schimmelkirche or Mould Church. The Protestant Church of the Redeemer was built between 1897 and 1899 to plans created by the Halle architect Fahro. It was abandoned over 25 years ago, and is now dilapidated, with holes in the ceiling and is infested with mold. A demolition order was approved in 2003, however this still hasn't been carried out.

The term "Führungsbunker der Wismut" (Wismut Command Bunkers) refers to several protected underground bunker complexes built in East Germany (GDR) for the SDAG Wismut, the secretive Soviet-German uranium mining joint venture. These facilities served as alternate command centers for Wismut leadership, civil defense forces, and the Ministry for State Security (Stasi) in the event of military conflict or nuclear crisis.

This one was built over a former Wismut explosives storage facility, starting around 1975. It is a heavily reinforced, modified Bunkertyp 1/15/V2c layout. To withstand chemical or nuclear fallout, it was outfitted with a complex Klimact blast-door and air filtration control system and powered by two independent banks of three backup diesel generators.

It's not a good idea to stay inside for too long as it contains radioactive radon gas!
