Another one from the same location as the previous two images. La Cascade des tufs definitely is the main attraction, but nonetheless it's worth heading upstream for some more tuff formations and gorgeous blue water.

Some soft sunlight would greatly benefit the location I think, but you have to deal with any given conditions, right? When I visited, this meant a constant light drizzle and no sunshine at all but this gave me the advantage of clean air and vibrant spring colors of the tree foliage.

The same waterfall as the previous image, but a little less of an obvious shot for that location. It's good to get the more classic views but the real fun for me begins when those are in the bag and you start looking beyond the obvious. I've lost the typical view of the waterfall in this image but in return I got rewarded with this gorgeous setting with moss covered branches framing the image and a much more secluded feel to it. You get to see the waterfall in the bigger landscape...

Composition wise, it would've been better to take one step further to the right in order to align the waterfall perfectly with the overhanging branch. But that would've meant stepping into a river filled with fragile tuff stone formations, which is a) forbidden and b) something I just refuse to do in order to get a 'better' shot. So, this is the end result and it's more than enough for me...

The combination of the pond, swan and fog created some exceptional conditions and I knew that there might be a good chance for wonderful backlit images if the fog lingered just long enough. I had to sit and wait a bit for the light to come, but was super stoked to see all pieces of the puzzle eventually fall into place. Good times!

Another shot from the same pond as the previous one. It was such a serene moment when this beautiful swan silently floated by in the first light of the day. It's moments like these that keep the 'landscape photography fire' burning after all these years, without a doubt.

It's been ages since I've posted anything on my socials. When I go silent here, it usually means that 'real' life is moving at higher speeds and it's no different this time. Communicating vessels, you know...

Becoming a father for the second time is pretty intense but I love every bit of it! But it also means that I have a massive backlog of unedited images, which I'm plowing through one image at a time. So for the next period you'll see some images taken earlier this year, starting with this one from our spring holiday in the French Jura. Shot before sunrise at a local pond close to our gîte and I hope that you like it!
