Open up!
Ode to William Wordsworth
by Jan Somers, Belgium
I can imagine the poet strolling
via sloping vales and climbing hills,
halting at every glimpse or sound
of healing beauty, free and all around.
It helps when clouds clutter darkness
high or low and scaring so many men.
To be gently reminded of what truly is.
Walk the way amidst them dangerous two:
the grimly pessimist and the naive optimist.
For let us not become complacent.
Do not follow blind and do observe.
Open eyes and thou heart, for now
so much more to see, so much to do.
