|| মিষ্টি রোদে ছেয়ে গেছে শিউলি ফুলের বন,
নরম রোদ্দুরে গলে যায় অভিমানী মন,
ভীষণ রিক্ততায় কেটে যায় অবেলায় দিনক্ষণ ;
জীবন সে তো প্রহসন নয়তো দহন || 🍂

|| ব্যালকনিতে অবহেলায় জন্মানো আগাছার দল ;
শিশিরের জলে ভিজে গেছে,
শুভ্র হাতের স্পর্শে ছুঁয়ে দিবি কি বল?...
কার্নিশে জমে থাকা আগাছার দল,
তোর ঐ ফুলের টবে করবি নাকি অদল-বদল?...... ||

|| শুভ্র কুয়াশা হবো ভেবেছিলাম
এক ফালি রোদ এসে রাঙিয়ে দিয়ে গেলো,
ভেবেছিলাম নীল আকাশ হবো;
ধূসর মেঘগুলো জমাট বেঁধে গেলো।
ভেবেছিলাম পাখি হবো,
সবুজ গাছ গুলো কেটে ফেলা হলো।
ভেবেছিলাম এ জন্মে না হয় বৃক্ষ, তরুলতা কিংবা
অশ্বত্থ বট গাছ হয়ে জন্মাবো ;
পথিকের পাদুকাদ্বয় মাড়িয়ে দিয়ে গেলো || 🍂
