BUTEX Photographic Society turns 1 and what a journey it’s been. From our very first click on March 20, 2025 to workshops, photowalks, cultural moments, and everything in between, every step shaped who we are today.

This wasn’t just about taking photos. It was about telling stories, building a community, and seeing the world through different lenses. Every member, every moment, every frame played a part in this journey.

A special thanks to our Advisors, Moderators, and Executive Panel—your guidance, dedication, and constant support turned a vision into reality. This milestone belongs to you as much as it does to every member of this family.

Here’s to the memories we’ve created and the stories still waiting to be captured. Year two? We’re just getting started.

On 3rd March,2026, 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥-𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐫 turned the streets of Motijheel–Gulistan into our canvas. From the rush of people heading home before Iftar to the quiet moments hidden in between, every corner had a frame waiting to be captured. What started at Shapla Chattor with cameras and curiosity slowly unfolded into an afternoon full of movement, light, and candid stories of the city.

Members of the BUTEX Photographic Society-BPS walked, observed, and froze those fleeting moments that often pass unnoticed in the rhythm of Dhaka before Maghrib. Some frames were chaotic, some calm but all of them were real.

Out of 60+ passionate applicants, 33 have stepped forward as the new Executive Members of the BUTEX Photographic Society. It wasn’t an easy decision. Every applicant brought talent, energy, and love for photography. But these 33 stood out with their dedication, creativity, and willingness to take responsibility.
