Zafar Alam, a man of deep integrity, simplicity and honesty, served as the Managing Director and CEO of Social Islami Bank Bangladesh with an unwavering commitment to honesty, transparency, and the well-being of others. In his 33 years of working career, he was not motivated by greed or self-interest but by a genuine desire to improve the institution and serve its people. Despite his remarkable character and leadership, he is facing injustice due to certain members of the bank who are taking the advantage of the current political instability. These opportunists, seeing a moment of vulnerability, snatched away his rightful place, undermining the years of hard work and dedication he had poured into the institution. It was not just a professional blow—it was a personal betrayal, stripping him of the respect and dignity he had earned through decades of service. This action was nothing short of a grave injustice, and it is time for those responsible to be held accountable. If he is removed then I urge all the remaining managers & heads to be removed as well.
We, his family and supporters, demand justice and the respect that he rightfully deserves. His leadership was a beacon of integrity, and his removal was a disservice not only to him but to the entire institution. We will not be silent until justice is served and his name is restored with the dignity it commands.
Last but not the least, trust me, this is not a post where you just simply write off intending to defend, but a post to remind everyone of you that Almighty Allah is watching. You can con people but not the Almighty.
