🏆 8TH IN AUSTRALIA!

We are incredibly proud to share that Redlands Camera Club placed 8th overall in the 2026 APS Australian Cup, earning an Honourable Mention with 506 points!

With 60 photography clubs from across Australia taking part, we are thrilled to have finished in the national Top 10 and as the highest-placed Queensland club! 🧡

We’re also incredibly excited to congratulate Tim Poulton, whose image “Sugarpine Forest” was awarded a Judges’ Choice! 🏅📸 A fantastic individual achievement as part of an already wonderful result for the club.

A huge congratulations and thank you to all our members whose images formed part of our 20-image entry - an amazing team result!

Congratulations also to all the clubs who participated and contributed to such an incredible showcase of photography from across Australia. 👏📸

Tonight’s Member Guest Speaker is our very own Charlotte Steyn 📷

Charlotte will be sharing her photography journey and taking us through her process from capture to final image, including the gear she uses, how she manages her Lightroom catalogue, her workflow and how she approaches editing.

Throughout the month of AUGUST

Guests are warmly invited to view the August exhibition by Mike Hennessy, Sumba: The Boundless Horizon.

This body of work documents Mike's journey to the Indonesian island of Sumba, exploring the enduring relationship between the Sumbanese people and the Sandalwood pony. Through striking photographs of these remarkable horses set against the island's dramatic landscapes and ancient traditions, the exhibition offers a glimpse into a culture where heritage, daily life, and nature remain deeply intertwined.

We invite you to experience this exhibition throughout the month of August and enjoy a photographic journey into one of Indonesia's most distinctive cultural landscapes.

We’re all recovering from a fantastic day with Timothy Poulton at our Photoshop Intermediate Workshop! 📸🧡

Members explored a range of advanced editing techniques, including the power of luminosity masks and how they can be used to make precise, natural-looking adjustments to their images.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day such a success. We can’t wait to see these new skills put into practice and the polished image edits that emerge over the coming weeks!

We were delighted to celebrate the opening of Christine Fenwick’s exhibition, The Awakening, yesterday.

Christine’s work offers a charming and personal encounter with the natural world, capturing a moment with a Boobook Owl, a nocturnal bird that is typically fast asleep during the day. What began as a patient search through the forest on a hot afternoon turned into a memorable interaction, resulting in a series of images full of character and wonder.

The Awakening will be on display throughout the month of June, and we warmly encourage Redlands Camera Club members and visitors to take the opportunity to view this beautiful exhibition and enjoy Christine’s thoughtfully observed images.
